Ysunza was able to tell his/her partner how much his love is. This poem greatly provides the idea that there would be no one else in the world that can replace his significant other. With this in mind, he attests that losing the other person would be like losing his life. Thus, at the end of the poem he let his guard down and told the other person how much he loves her. Shostakovich, on the other hand, admits his love with the use of the poem. Since he is currently having a hard time expressing his feelings verbally, he decided to use poems as his mode of communication. With poems, one can freely express his thoughts without thinking anything. It assures one of being heard. The power of words comes its way through the heart of the reader. This poem created an emotion-filled feeling. Thus, the poem did not hinder the author to express all his sentiments about the other person. I allowed him to describe how his heart was captured by just the simple thought of the girl.
